WHO WE ARE

TRADEX: TRADE – EXPORT – QUALITY CONTROL – LOGISTICS – SOURCING

Founded in 2005, Tradex emerged in response to the growing demand for outsourcing to China. The company's founder, a French entrepreneur from Saint-Étienne, envisioned a sourcing and quality control platform that could act as an extension of the purchasing departments of his clients, primarily small and medium-sized businesses in the Rhône-Alpes region, offering them enhanced support and efficiency.

With a multicultural Franco-Chinese team, Tradex has always focused on assisting—sometimes even replacing—its clients in all stages of the purchasing process with their Chinese counterparts.

Twenty years later, China remains the world’s manufacturing hub, and Tradex continues to serve as a loyal and effective partner, even as the global business landscape becomes increasingly complex, as recent geopolitical and health developments have reminded us.

WHAT WE DO

Tradex operates with the philosophy of fostering an open, collaborative relationship with clients rather than simply acting as a classic buyer/supplier interface. We see ourselves as "your dedicated colleagues" in China, working alongside your team to ensure success at every stage of the process.

Originally focused on textiles (house linens, fabrics, apparel) and industrial goods (steel products, stamped and welded items, hardware), Tradex has evolved to meet the needs of our clients, covering a broad range of product categories (electronics, plastic injection, castings, luggage) and compliance regulations (social and ethical standards, environmental regulations).

Although Tradex doesn't have the resources of a 200-engineer office, we ensure effective communication with factories through the client's technical knowledge, which is key to ensuring precise sourcing and production requirements.

Our primary focus remains on fostering long-term cooperation, especially for industrial projects, and we are able to handle a wide array of industries.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Trade and sourcing

Traditional buying and reselling services, where the client trusts Tradex to find the product they need and purchase it directly from Tradex without necessarily knowing which factory is involved in production.

Quality Control

Product inspections in factories, either during or at the end of the production process, followed by a detailed QC report.

Logistics

Container booking and shipping assistance from factories to the client’s warehouse (DAP), whether for single shipments or consolidated loads from multiple suppliers, by sea, air, or rail, depending on urgency and requirements.

Factory Audits

Assessing the overall health of your supplier, including checks for industrial, social, and financial risks.

Staffing Services

Tradex can employ a local full-time person exclusively for a client’s project under a specific contract.

Other Services

Rodolphe has been in China since 2006, first for academic purposes (learning Mandarin), and joined Tradex in 2010 as a quality control manager. When the founder returned to France, Rodolphe naturally took control of the company in the mid-2010s.
